The planned community is strategically located on the western fringe of the Charlotte MSA, approximately 25 minutes miles from I-485/I-85 junction and 35 minutes from Uptown. More specifically, Derry is on the southside of Neal Hawkins Road and west of Union Road in south Gastonia, adjacent to existing development, grocery, and other retail amenities. Most notably, Derry touches Martha Davis Park, a large outdoor sports complex that is host to many local and regional soccer and softball/baseball tournaments throughout the year.

The property features a large pond that will be the centerpiece for the community and reflected in its branding. Suncrest anticipates breaking ground in the summer of 2023.
